Once the SDR is submitted (the status is changed from New to Submitted) an email will be sent to the choosen contacts in the Supplier record.
The SDR will also become visible on the Supplier view of the portal. The SDR is visible on the Dashboard
and also on the List of defect reports.
In both cases clicking on detail will open the SDR for editing.
SDR header contains basic information like SDR number - unique identification of SDR, Date submitted - the date when SDR was sent to supplier, Reply date - the date when supplier first responded to issued SDR and Status - the current SDR status. There is no Supplier editable data in this section.
Supplier editable data exist in this section.
The 1D section of SDR contains information of the defect occurence. Supplier name, address and contacts are displayed here. Defect location, founder of defect and severity level is also displayed here.
Supplier must pay special attention to the following entries:
Below the thin line is displayed the name of Supplier responsible person to deal with the SDR and the box to enter the RMA number when requested by Bobcat.
The 2D section contains all information of the defective part and the defect itself. Defective part number, description and quantity as well as serial number (if exist) is entered by Bobcat Quality. Defect details together with accompanying pictures are filled to describe the extent of the defect.
To the right of the field the cost of the SDR is broken down to Part cost - piece part cost, Rework cost - cost of any internal or external rework, Shipping cost - cost of shipping the part to supplier (not filled if part is sent via provided RMA), Incidental expeses - cost not related to above categories and summed to Total cost.

In the 3D section Bobcat and Supplier start the communication about the analysis of the corrective actions for the identified defect. Typically all SDR will contain information from Bobcat Quality about the Interim Containment Action(s). The same is required from the Supplier.
